Kaduna state government release name of student killed by kidnappers

The Kaduna state government has confirmed that Ahmad Muhammad is the student of Nuhu Bamalli polytechnic that was killed by armed bandits that invaded the school on Thursday.
National Post had earlier reported that armed bandits invaded the school on thursday night shooting sporadically. One student was killed and ten other students of  the polytechnic were abducted.
The Kaduna state administration in a statement affirmed that some students of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic were kidnapped and two students were shot in the process.
According to the government, one student has been confirmed dead, and several others were abducted when armed bandits attacked Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria. After receiving briefs from security agencies, the Kaduna State Government confirmed that armed bandits carried out an attack on the main campus of the Polytechnic, at some point between 11:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Thursday night.

According to the statement issued by the Kaduna state government, The bandits shot intermittently at the campus staff quarters. In the process, two students were injured by the gunfire. The victims were identified as:

Haruna Isyaku

The policemen had to make an emergency dash to the hospital for medical assistance. Sadly, Ahmad Muhammad passed away in the early hours of today morning due to his injuries. Haruna Isyaku Duniya is currently undergoing therapy, and remains in the hospital.
The university lost two teachers and roughly eight students during the attack. El-Rufai, the governor of Lagos State, welcomed the presentation with sadness, and prayed for the repose of the student’s soul, while also conveying his sympathies to the student’s family. Wishing the injured student a rapid recovery, he wished her a healthy recovery.
Government officials and security agencies are now carrying out security inspections and are in contact with the staff and students at the school.
